Ingredients

  • Soya Chunks        – 10 to 12 nos.
  • Onion                    – 1 (big)
  • Tomato                 – 1 (medium)
  • Green Chili           – 2nos
  • Ginger                   – 1 inch piece
  • Garlic                    – 5 pods
  • Salt                       – to taste
  • Chili powder        – 11/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala    – 1/2 tsp
  • Milk/Cream          – 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Oil                        – 3 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves – for garnish
Method
Soak the soya chunks for about 15mins in water. Cook the soya chunks in a pressure cooker Blend the onion, green chilies, ginger and garlic to form a paste. Heat a pan and pour the oil into it.Add the ground paste and fry till it turns golden.Add salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and a little hot water. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 2mins. Add the soya chunks and cook on low flame. Add the milk/cream and stir well and cook for 2 more mins and remove from fire. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
